Therapy for anxiety & depression based in Southington & across CT
The struggle is real—your mood is holding you hostage and it’s time to break free.
You never thought you’d find yourself here, but you’re not feeling like yourself lately. And it starts before your feet even hit the floor—the second your alarm goes off, you feel the tension in your jaw from another restless night.
Still, the day must go on. You pour a cup of coffee, scroll through messages, and sigh as you see yet another request for your time—another fundraiser, another favor for a friend. Of course you want to help, but wish you could say “no” without the sinking feeling that people will think less of you if you do. There you go again—down the rabbit hole of self-doubt and overthinking.
Some days you can walk through with a quiet confidence, thinking, I’ve got this. But other days, your emotions are right beneath the surface, ready to flood you without warning.
You’ve tried to move past those patterns, but life still feels chaotic. Your self assurance wavers, and you just want to feel grounded, capable, and at peace in your own skin. Deep down, you sense that something needs to shift—and you’re ready for deeper change.
You knew it was time to reach out when you noticed getting stuck in these patterns…
Getting down on yourself—knowing you’re “good enough” in your head, but not feeling it in your gut
Spending time worrying instead of connecting with the people you love
Losing patience with your kids or partner, then immediately drowning in guilt
A creeping sense of dread that the other shoe is about to drop
Tossing and turning in bed, unable to shut off your brain
Feeling paralyzed by fears of things you once did with ease—driving, flying, bloodwork, or public speaking
You’re craving a calm space to leave the past behind and build lasting change.
How therapy for anxiety and depression works
You can learn to break free from your mood.
You don’t want to just talk in circles about the worries and self-doubt that consume your life. You're ready to try something that will actually help to get you unstuck. Therapy for anxiety and depression can help you slow down, breathe, and finally make sense of what’s been happening beneath the surface.
Our work isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you reconnect with the parts of yourself that already know how to find balance and peace.
My approach incorporates the mind, body and spirit through change-based and body-based therapies, Brainspotting and IFS-Informed EMDR Therapy.
In session, you’ll have space to be fully seen and understood—no pressure to perform, no judgment, no pretending you’re okay when you’re not. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and sustainable, using a mix of practical tools, self reflection, and deep healing techniques. This might look like…
Using your five senses to ground yourself in the here and now
Envisioning a healing light stream through you to release your tension
Understanding your patterns and conflicting parts while encouraging harmony and balance within yourself
Bringing your attention to an emotion, sensation or memory to engage in deep focused processing
As we work together, you’ll start to feel more like yourself again — less tense, more present, and better able to handle life’s ups and downs with confidence.
You’ll notice meaningful shifts—the kind that remind you healing is a steady return to yourself. You’ll wake up with a little more energy, a little less dread. You’ll catch yourself laughing at something small. You’ll notice you’re breathing easier, sleeping better, and feeling like you again. You deserve a space where healing feels possible and growth feels natural.

It is possible to experience anxiety and depression simultaneously. In fact, it is a very common occurrence.
Having both anxiety and depression can significantly impact quality of life, work and relationships. However, there is hope—treatments such as Brainspotting and EMDR Therapy can help reduce and improve symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Intensives are an option for you to focus on your anxiety and depression in an accelerated format with 3-hour sessions over 1-3 days during the course of one week or month.
Intensives allow the opportunity to progress through your symptoms in a more succinct and focused way without the interruption of a traditional 45-minute session.
An intensive format may decrease overall treatment time and be more cost effective because of time not spent on—
Checking in at the beginning of each session
Addressing current crises and concerns
Focusing on stabilizing and coping skills that you need before healing
Assisting in regaining composure at the end of each session.
In addition, I may recommend a combination of both Brainspotting and IFS-Informed EMDR Therapy to help achieve your goals. Intensives provide more time and space to integrate techniques from both methods - because therapy should be as unique as you are.
